Winter Park & Aurora Point
Winter Park by day. Aurora Point after dark.

By day · Winter Park
An easy way to spend a winter day outdoors.
You can drive to the park and leave your car at the entrance gate, where a lit walking path leads you inside. Whether you come with children, friends or as a couple, everything is ready so you can enjoy the snow at your own pace.
Your entry ticket includes a gentle sledding hill for children and adults, snowman building, snowball target games, lasso throwing at wooden reindeer and a snowshoe trail. When you want a break, you can sit by the campfire shelter (laavu) or warm up inside the kota hut.
We are also planning extras that you can buy on site, such as campfire snacks and hot drinks, meeting and feeding reindeer, and guided cross-country skiing. Final activities and prices will be confirmed before booking opens.
What is ready for you on site
Guides on site to help
Our local guides wear bright jackets so they are easy to find. They help with activities, answer questions and look after the park during your visit.
Campfires & a warm kota
Our guides keep the campfires burning throughout the day and evening. Whenever you want to warm up indoors, our heated kota hut and toilets are right nearby.
Lit walking paths
You park at the entrance gate, so there is no traffic inside the park. Marked, lit paths make it easy to walk around, even after dark or with children.

After dark · The same park in the evening
Aurora Point
Enjoy the winter night and the northern sky from a warm, comfortable place.
You do not need to go into the dark forest alone to enjoy the winter night. At Aurora Point, a lit path leads you from the gate to an open field with a clear view to the north.
Sit by the campfires, look at the stars and watch for the northern lights. Children can use the sledding hill, and everyone can step inside the warm kota whenever they like. Our guides are on site all evening to keep the fires going and help guests.
Campfire sausages, hot drinks and reindeer visits are planned as optional extras. Our open view to the north is a good place to watch the sky on clear nights, though the northern lights depend on weather and nature and cannot be guaranteed.

Practical information
Frequently asked questions
When can we visit, and what will tickets cost?
Opening dates, hours and ticket prices will be shared on this page before sales begin. Most guests spend about two hours at the park. Daytime hours start in the late morning, and Aurora Point opens in the evening. Contact us with your travel dates if you would like to hear when booking opens.
Does one ticket cover both day and evening?
Winter Park (daytime) and Aurora Point (evening) have separate tickets. We are also planning a combined day and evening ticket at a lower total price. Final ticket options will be confirmed before booking opens.
Where is the park, and how do we get there?
The park is in the Rovaniemi area. You can arrive in your own car or by taxi, and we can also arrange transport as an extra. We will share the exact address and arrival instructions when bookings open. You park at the entrance gate, and a short lit path leads into the park.
What if we are not used to winter or dark conditions?
You do not need any outdoor experience. Cars stay at the gate so there is no traffic inside the park, the walking paths are lit, and the sledding hill has a gentle slope suited to children. Our guides wear bright jackets, keep the campfires going and are always nearby to help. A warm indoor kota (for 20 to 30 people) and toilets are on site.
Is it suitable for families?
Yes, the park is made for families. There is plenty of room to play in the snow, a gentle sledding hill and a warm kota for indoor breaks. Couples and groups of friends are very welcome too. Contact us if you have questions about your family's needs.
Will we see the northern lights at Aurora Point?
We cannot promise that you will see them, as the northern lights depend on clear skies and nature. Aurora Point gives you a clear view to the north and a warm, comfortable place to spend the evening with campfires, a heated kota and a sledding hill, whether the northern lights appear or not.
Will food, reindeer feeding and other extras be included?
Your entry ticket includes the sledding hill, snow games, snowshoe trail, campfires, warm kota and toilets. Campfire snacks (such as sausages and hot drinks), reindeer feeding, short reindeer rides and guided cross-country skiing will be available for an extra fee.
What should we wear?
Wear warm clothes for winter outdoors: warm base layers, a winter jacket and winter trousers, warm boots, a hat and gloves. Ask us if you need advice on how to dress for the weather.
