Follow the forecast into the night
Head out from Rovaniemi by minivan with a professional photographer as your guide. Visit locations chosen for the night’s weather and northern lights forecast, and get help using your own camera. The six-hour tour includes winter clothing, transport, hot drinks and snacks, with up to eight guests. Northern lights sightings cannot be guaranteed.
A plan shaped by the sky
The evening begins with a briefing about the weather, northern lights forecast and plan for the night. Your guide chooses from a range of locations around Rovaniemi and Southern Lapland.
You usually visit one to three locations by minivan. If conditions call for it, the journey may cover up to 200 kilometres in search of a suitable viewing spot.
Photograph the night with your guide
At each destination, leave the minivan and continue on foot to a viewing spot away from city lights. Your guide helps you set up your own camera for night photography.
The guide also takes photographs during the tour, which are delivered afterwards. The northern lights are a natural phenomenon, so every evening is different and sightings are never guaranteed.
An evening in a small group
With no more than eight guests, there is time to ask questions about photography and the northern lights. Winter overalls and boots, hot drinks and snacks are included for your evening outdoors.

Yes. Your photographer guide can help you set up your camera for night photography. The guide also takes photos that are delivered after the tour.
